Located on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, approximately 70 km south east of Melbourne sits a bio-dynamic farm...In order to feed our growing population, it is so important to educate the children on how and where to grow or source clean, nutritious food; at the same time as protecting the future of our land, the diversity of plants, the husbandry of our animals and the support of our fellow beings.

If your an avid farmers' market goer in Melbourne, you will no doubt have come across the gorgoeus Kitty who is the face behind B-Alternative's eco-awareness stalls. We caught up with Kitty and had a chat about her passion for sustainablity & her workplace. Managing an organic grocer last year, I was immersed in a community of responsible gardeners, food providers, naturopaths and permaculture enthusiasts, B-Alternative was a natural progression, considering my ever growing passion for all things planet positive!

BOTANICA – A VILLAGE IN THE AUSTRALIAN GARDEN

Nature play is a term used to describe the creation of simple play oppertunities in the natural environment. Hours of play encouraged the kids to take part in environmental activities -  Physically, mentally, emotionally and socially; kids do better outside. To celebrate our native land, to educate and engage the beauty of outdoor play. An  experience for all who ventured inside the magical world of BOTANICA. A village built from Australiania and wonder. 

Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show #MIFGS

An absolute must,  if flowers, plants and art get you out of bed in the morning. Every step inside the grand hall of the Royal Exhibition Building at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show this year was mesmerizing! Days could of gone by, spending time looking at all the creative installations. An absolute must to see if you have a thing fresh, dried, twisted, braided, plaited, scrunched and torn pieces of floral art. We were in heaven!
