Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show – Immerse your senses!
Mind Blown. Beautiful weather and amazing gardens on show. The effort by the landscapers and designers …. what more can I say other than I needed to go home and process such beautiful displays and work by inspiring people.
I especially went to see Debco’s “The avenue of achievable gardens” were my cousin Dale and his collegues Ross and Liz put together an impressive garden display for wildlife habitat “AWASH WITH NATURE” winning the Award of Excellence, A Blue Ribbon and The Innovative Use of Plants Award!
Such awesome designers and displays from every angle. Highlights include chats with Simon from Vegepod, the crew at Worm Lovers and Dani Venn from the Gardenettes!
The true immersion of the five senses was fabulous with the Taste zone at the Diggers Club, Sight in the hall, Touch at the NGIV precinct and Hearing through the urban forest.
My favorite was no doubt the The Diggers club edible garden and tasting station.
Victorian School Garden Awards allowed children to get hands on, exploring different plants and flowers under the microscopes and being able to pot a plant to take home!
Far too many creative and wonderful colourful displays to explore, and we
are walking away very inspired on every front, and can’t wait to visit again next year!
